People have been talking about the upcoming Axie Infinity Origins. In case you haven’t of it, Axie Infinity is an NFT blockchain game that allows players to play and earn. And they plan to release significant updates that will change the way we play and strategize in Axie Infinity. So let me fill you in with the latest news about it to understand what everyone is fussing about.
The Alpha Version of the Origin
Axie Infinity origin’s alpha version is coming. However, players won’t be able to earn SLP and AXS during its alpha version. And all the progress that players will make will also reset before Axie Infinity’s official release.
The developers want to ensure that everything is clean and tidy, allowing their community to be the alpha testers. Hopefully, it’ll speed up the process and help discover bugs and glitches before the official launch.
Revised Game Mechanics
So many tweaks and changes will be made for Axie Infinity Origin. The focus is primarily on its gameplay mechanics.
- Sequential Turns – Players will now take turns for their team’s attack. Players will be able to command their Axies to attack by picking an available card for each move.
- Body Parts – Axies will now have six body parts associated with unique skills. The addition of eyes and ears will give players versatility and more combinations to strategize and defeat their foes.
- New Skill Cards – Skill cards will now be identified as an attack of defense ability rather than having both effects on the opposing team. Additional cards for Axie’s eyes and ears, along with cards for four other body parts (back, horn, tail, and mouth), will be added.
- Critical Hits – A rage bar above each Axie’s head will need to be filled before an Axie can critically strike their opponents.
- Runes and Charms – These items will function as the burning mechanism for the game. Players will be able to craft runes and charms to increase their Axie’s offense and defense prowess to gain an advantage against the enemy team.
Axie Infinity is Now Free To Play
Axie Infinity will now have three starter teams for new players. So players will now be able to start their adventure on Axie Infinity for free. And the only catch is that players will not be able to earn SLPs using the free starter Axies.
Moreover, players will have a chance to collect more starter Axies by playing the adventure more. This will attract more players and potential investors to join their community, and it’ll be an explosion of growth for Axie Infinity!
