Illuvium Zero is a base-building mini-game that you can play on your mobile. The land plots are where you can build your self-sustaining economy and produce resources that you can use on Illuvium’s main game.
And note that there will only be a total of 100,000 land plots available to collect. And it is said that the first presale of their land plots will only be 20,000. So it would be a challenge to get your hands on one of those unless you don’t mind spending a bit more to get one.
What We Know So Far
Players can construct and upgrade buildings that produce valuable resources and cosmetic blueprints for skins. And in Illuvium’s main game, players can scan different Illuvials to create even more intricate designs inspired by Illuvial’s features.
Land plots will have different rarity levels from tier 0 to tier 5. Tier 0 is a free-to-play land plot that has an unlimited supply, but it won’t be able to interact with Illuvium’s main game. However, paid tiers (Tier 1 to Tier 5) can interact and send resources to the main game.
Update:
As of May 2, 2022, the prices are as follows:
- Tier 5 – Live English Auction
- Tier 4 – 80 ETH starting price
- Tier 3 – 20 ETH starting price
- Tier 2 – 6 ETH starting price
- Tier 1 – 2 ETH starting price.
Illuvium’s Land Sale will utilize a Dutch Auction style. Meaning, prices will go down every hour until it hits a floor price or until all lands are sold out.
Illuvium Zero Release Date
Illuvium Zero will release its Beta version, and players can test out the game early. But soon before its official release, which will be sometime in Q4 of 2022, all the progress made will be reset to start an even playing field for everyone.
Gameplay
Based on the gameplay video leaked on YouTube, Illuvium Zero would be like any other base-building game where you can enhance your base, build miners, and collect the resources when they’re ready.
You can see on the video that a bubble or logo would appear on top of each miner, signifying that the gathered resources are now ready for extraction. And it gives me the same vibe as the popular mobile game Clash of Clans (CoC).
In the video footage, we can see the land level, which indicates the level of advancement of your city. And I assume that the higher your level goes, the more features and machinery you can access. But this is just pure speculation since we don’t have an official word from the developers.
Mega Cities
You’ll be able to send and receive resources from high-tier lands to low-tier lands and vice versa. For example, you can purchase multiple lands with different tier levels, and you manage them by feeding the low tier lands with resources from the high tier land you own. However, you’ll have to pay fees for the transaction.
And this is where Mega Cities come in. The developers discussed that soon after Illuvium Zero releases, Mega Cities could become a thing where all the lands you own in a single wallet can trade resources with one another without having you pay the fees. But keep in mind that these are just speculations and could change once they release it. But it’s certainly food for thought that we can use to approach the game.
