Co-founders Aaron Warwick and Grant Warwick recently had a one-hour and a half long live stream on their official YouTube Channel. They had an in-depth discussion about their inspiration for the game, some Q&As, and the different Illuvial affinities, classes, systems, and aesthetics.
They’ve also announced “The Last Illuvial” Community Contest, where the whole community can participate and submit their own unique and original concept on what the last illuvial should be. The chosen design and concept will be part of the first set of Illuvials to be released and will become part of the game for many years to come.

Release Date
A lot of speculations have been going around about Illuvium’s system requirements. Illuvium is almost out, and its scheduled release for the Private Beta on Mac and PC will be in Q1 of 2022.
Illuvium won’t be playable on console (yet), and the team plans to release its mobile version called Illuvium: Zero. But there’s no specific or estimated date yet. All we know is that it’ll be sometime this year, 2022. And that’s another thing that we can all look forward to.
Moreover, Illuvium’s team already has plans for the release of the game’s second major title in 2023, but further updates and information about it have not been disclosed just yet.
System Requirements
Many predictions seem to agree that the sweet spot for playing Illuvium is with an RTX 3060. Though there was no official announcement, and the game isn’t even out yet, we’ve already seen multiple footages and gameplays that are comparable to off-chain traditional, modern games.
Aaron, the co-founder of Illuvium, mentioned that at minimum, a GTX 1060 with at least 6 to 8 GB RAM would do. Aaron also said their team is working on optimization options that could lower the bar even further before the launch. So, many speculate that a GTX 1660 could suffice based on system requirements for games that are out on the market with similar graphics.
However, if you want to play competitively with the best-rendered graphics, I suggest you go straight for an RTX 2070.
Final Thoughts
Illuvium will take everyone by storm, setting the bar high for blockchain games. And we could potentially see an increase in players and audiences within the blockchain space.
A quick disclaimer, though. Illuvium’s system requirements are based on speculations since their team had no official word. So it may be subject to some changes. But it’s most likely going to be the actual outcome based on similar games in the market right now.
