Illuvium’s initial plan was to launch its Open Beta in Q1 of 2022. But due to some setbacks and issues, they had to move it further. They’ve managed to solve the problems one by one, including the recent incident about the discord scam. Now their team is finally back on track. And Kieran Warwick, Co-Founder of Illuvium, is already back at work while still bearing the sunburns he got from his vacation in Mexico.
Kieran played Illuvium’s auto battler and was blown away by how good it was. Kieran excitedly said that it was GAME OVER for the competition. And that Illuvium will become the best game on the blockchain. He even mentioned that it’s way better than TFT (Teamfight Tactics), a spinoff auto battler of League of Legends.
The Release of Private Beta and Possibly Pre-open Beta
The Private Beta auto battler will be open for 500+ experienced beta testers with a good PC (not available for Mac yet). And qualified beta testers will be notified via email. There are also speculations going around that they might release the incomplete game for the public to test, but Illuvium’s team hasn’t confirmed it.
There could also be a possible release for the Pre-Open Beta PvE training ground. It hasn’t been officially approved yet, but Kieran and Aaron (Also a Co-Founder, chief game designer, and story supervisor at Illuvium.) think it’s a good idea and that the community would love to see it happen.
Illuvium’s Roadmap
Illuvium’s team said the game is around 30% done, and they’re about to launch a playable demo and other features for the game. Some of these are still subject to changes, but here’s what we know so far:
- sILV2 and Staking V2 – A version 2 for sILV and an updated staking system to lock up your tokens will be available by the end of February 2022. The purpose of V2 is to fix the current staking and unstaking issues. And rewards from currently staked tokens will be frozen, but they will be calculated and rolled over to V2 once released.
- Landsale/Illuvitars – Illuvium’s team plans to open Landsale to players, and it will be up for grabs around the end of Q1 (before the Public Beta.)
- Illuvium’s Integration with IMMUTABLE X – Immutable X is the first Layer 2 for NFTs on Ethereum, allowing you to trade NFTs with instant transaction speed and zero fees. Say goodbye to Ethereum’s high insanely high fees!
- The Open Beta for PC and Mac – People have been asking if Illuvium will be available on Mac. And Kieran confirmed it during an AMA session. He even stated that the Open Beta would be available around Q2 of 2022, after the Landsale.
- Illuvium’s Mobile and Console Launch – Kieran mentioned that there would be a fundraising program for Illuvium’s mobile launch. Not much detail was discussed, but they plan to release it sometime in 2023. And the same goes for the console.
To End
Things are looking great for Illuvium, and the community’s excitement is through the roof. And it was even reported that over 100,000 players submitted their applications for the Private Beta. And they haven’t even started advertising the game! For now, let’s just cross our fingers and hope that they live up to the expectations of their audience.
