The final set of Axie Origin cards has arrived! Axie’s eyes finally have their own set of cards, and you’ll finally be able to chew over the details and basic stats that they would contribute. But bare in mind that these aren’t the final fixture. Balance tweaks could still be done here and there, depending on the feedback and observation after its release.
Clear? All right, so here are Axie Origin’s eye cards!
Marketplace Changes
Axie Infinity Origin’s release date is fast approaching, so minor changes on the marketplace have to be made for the added features.
So here’s what changed:
- Toggle between Origin and Classic to view the cards in each version of the game so that players are aware of the changes and adjust their in-game strategy.
- Origin filters were also added for players to navigate the marketplace with ease.
- Each Axie’s potential point can now be seen when selecting Origin.
- New fonts and class icons we also added.
- Some minor UI issues were fixed.
- You can also check each card’s specials effects when hovering your mouse over its highlighted text.
Banned 210 Axies Across 7 Accounts for Match-fixing in Season 20
The Community Protection team reviewed 3000 match replays of high-ranked players, and evidence of match-fixing was found. These players would purposely end the battle in a draw when matching against each other to lose a bit of their MMR.
And in case you didn’t know, A player’s MMR or Match Making Ranking determines their skill level as a player. And the system’s algorithm would match players with the same MMR for battle.
By exploiting the loophole they found, they were able to lower their MMR and took advantage of facing lower-skilled players for an easy victory. And this is a violation of Axie Infinity’s Term of Service found in Section 4.
The banned accounts forfeit season 20 AXS rewards, and all Axies on their accounts have been banned for 999 days. And each player found guilty is indefinitely prohibited from participating in Axie eSports tournaments.
This jarring move is made to discourage other players from committing similar offenses and show that the developers or admins do not consider or take this matter lightly.
A competitive community is great as it drives success and pushes growth within ourselves. But we must never resort to such unethical actions to bypass rules and take advantage of others. After all, as the saying goes, “true winners never cheat, and cheaters never win.” Integrity should always be valued even when no one is watching.
