TryHards is a MOBA-inspired NFT shooting game built on the Ethereum blockchain. And on this metaverse run by its community, you can play, earn, and socialize with other players from around the world using your avatar as a representation of your digital presence.
The Story
Humanity coincided with one another and lived peacefully. But their leaders who succumbed to greed and sought power and dominance broke that peace. The conflicts got worst and worst and eventually escalated to an all-out war, making Earth inhabitable.
Left with no other options, the people of Earth had to flee their home planet to live in space to survive. At the same time, some remained and tried to survive elsewhere. Now, 1337 years have passed, and Mother Nature did its wonders making old Earth habitable once again. And Earth is now known as Planet X.
The Four Factions
Four factions known as Apes, Robots, The Undead, and Survivors now compete for total domination and the conquest to rule Planet X. The remnants of life and other beings from the old Earth now seek to claim Planet X and mold it with their ideals.
- Apes: The Apes were subject to experiments in lab facilities for many decades. When they’ve finally achieved the freedom that they’ve been fighting for, they returned to their kingdom and reclaimed the jungle.
- Robots: These are Artificial Intelligence gone rogue, designed by the Satoshi Corp. Their creation sparked the technological revolution after they gained their consciousness, giving birth to the new age of AI.
- The Undead: After humanity fled Planet X, some of them opted to stay and live on a nearby planet called Magmar. It’s a brutal volcano planet with a harsh environment that almost wiped them out. But then, for some miraculous reason, corpses were brought back to life, but they were not the same as before anymore. They called themselves the Undead and continued to live and thrive on Magmar for many centuries. And now, they long to set their foot on Planet X once again.
- Survivors: They are the surviving descendants of humans who fled from their native planet. Over a thousand years later, they seek to return to their home planet and rebuild society back to its old glory.
Each faction has its advantages and unique skills suitable for different playstyles and techniques. With that said, which side will you be on?
Play and Earn
A multitude of content and exciting gameplay experience awaits you on TryHards. But before you can participate in any PvP or PvE modes, you must own at least one champion and a weapon. You can acquire and train champions called Fanatics, as well as weapons and crystals that you can either use or sell on TryHards Plaza, the game’s in-game marketplace.
TryHards also have several game modes, quests, and missions that’ll keep you occupied for hours on end. You can also stake your NFTs to earn $TRY tokens. The $TRY token is an ERC20 token, which is TryHards’ in-game currency used for minting NFTs that can then be traded with other players.
Moreover, thanks to TryHards’ smart contract specifically optimized for trading your NFT assets, you no longer have to unstake NFTs when trying to sell it. You can just trade it directly, and this feature gets rid of additional gas fees that you would normally have to pay. Also, note that TryHards’ platform deducts a 5% transaction fee that goes back to the Buyback and Burn pool.
Conclusion
A top-down shooting game like this is not new to the blockchain space. Though, I must say, this game has decent graphics and could potentially be a better game compared to other games I’ve seen so far. Feel free to give it a try!
