The Fabled is a brand-new blockchain-based RPG play-to-earn game. Developed by Unreal Engine 5, a powerful game engine that developed hundreds of games in more than two decades! That’s why it’s no surprise that this game’s graphics are top tier. Unique character designs, cool-looking monsters, breathtaking scenery, you name it.
In the Fabled, you get to pick gods, demons, and warriors as your avatar to explore their vast world and fight monsters from the Abyss. The game has many features so you’ll never run out of things to do. Players will be able to craft weapons and items, farm crops, design and decorate their own house, tame mounts, and many more. If you’re lucky enough, you might even get yourself a dragon and conquer the skies!
Homestead
Homestead is where your haven is. Players can have their own house and they can also choose the housing style and land type so it would fit their taste. They can also customize it however they want. Items and other in-game assets stored or displayed in your house will also be stored in your account.
Each homestead will have its farmland which players can utilize to plant crops that has special healing effects. However, it’s not as effective as a health potion but it will aid you in your long ventures and battles.
The Abyss
A portal to the Abyss is located near your Homestead. The Abyss is a dangerous place where ancient beasts and evil beings roam free. Travel to different worlds, fight your way through different levels, strong enemies, and defeat bosses to return to your Homestead alive.
There may be a time when you’ll be stuck at a certain level because of some unbeatable enemy. If ever in trouble, your can call out to your friends for help since this game allows players to play co-op. Meaning you’ll be able to team up with others and defeat powerful foes together.
Play to Earn
Players will be able to craft their weapons and items, and of course, they are all Non-fungible tokens (NFT), including the items that you can loot from the Abyss, that can then be traded on the marketplace. The Fabled will also have their DAO tokens for utility and governance, but the details about it weren’t announced yet.
Fusion is another feature that was mentioned on their website. There weren’t many details about it yet, but since in-game items and weapons can be constantly produced, players would need to find ways to dispatch or make use of them. And the obvious solution is by fusion or combining several items to create one that is far superior to others. Not all items can be used and sold, therefore, some will be rendered useless.
Final thoughts
This game is still under development, so the available information is limited. By the looks of the alpha footage that they’ve released, this game has the potential to be a mainstream game on the blockchain. But I guess only time will tell whether it blows up or gets ignored. Hopefully, its gameplay will be as good as it looks!
