CryoWar is a brand-new mobile game built on the Solana Blockchain. It is a highly competitive MOBA (Multiplayer Online Battle Arena) game that’s built on the Solana blockchain. It allows players to have true ownership over their characters and in-game assets as an NFT or Non-fungible token.
Now when you hear a game that is said to have “play-to-earn” mechanics, it sounds like a game that you have to play just to earn, almost like a job, and that sucks the fun out of it. But CryoWar isn’t your typical blockchain Metaverse game. It has exciting features and several fun game modes designed to get you hooked and entertained, keeping your adrenaline high!
What to expect
Players will be able to have an immersive experience with outstanding graphics equivalent to a PC game thanks to the game’s development in Unreal Engine and the use of its advanced tools and technological features.
This game has several PvP (Player vs Player) game modes like Deathmatch, Last man standing, The best score in 5 minutes, Battle arena, 1v1 duels, and PvE (Player vs Environment) modes like co-op survival mode and co-op boss fights. They will also hold tournaments and special events to keep the players busy.
Characters
As of now, there are three known Heroes with different playstyles that you can choose from, and of course, you can expect more characters to come.
HEAVY
This Hero is a walking tank that specializes in defense and carries artilleries and heavy rockets to pulverize his enemies from a distance.
VALKYRIE
No one is as gracious and elegant as Valkyrie. But when enraged, she enters her Berserker mode, enhancing her overall stats, both offense, and defense. You don’t want to be on her opposing side when that happens.
CENTURION
Centurion is a unique hero that wields a blade and a gun. And when pushed to his limits, he becomes a helluva one-man army, throwing multiple swords and firing gunshots on his surrounding area.
What’s so good about CryoWar?
CryoWar has the potential to be one of the best Metaverse play-to-earn games today, and for many reasons why:
No pay to win
This is exactly what I’m looking for in competitive games like these. Games with pay-to-win systems are frequently discouraging. Knowing that no matter how good you are or how hard you work to reach new levels in the game, other players can just spend money to catch up to you. However, in CryoWar, your abilities and knowledge are the only things that will help you rise through the ranks and become one of the greatest.
3-minute matches
Most mainstream MOBA games take anywhere from 15 minutes to an hour to complete. Imagine participating in a game and being stuck in a toxic losing team. I’ve been there, and believe me when I say that it’s not healthy and will ruin your mood. If you’ve ever played a MOBA game, you’ll understand. A round of CryoWar, on the other hand, takes only 3 minutes. You get to play, enjoy, and move on whether you win or lose, which keeps you interested and engaged.
Multi-chain Metaverse
It is still too early to tell how far this game will go, but CryoWar is already planning to integrate it with other blockchains. This would allow players to transfer their NFTs and other digital assets from one game to another, providing the game and its players with limitless opportunities.
Play-to-Earn
I’ve already mentioned the word NFT several times in this article, so you already know that it represents all items, skins, and even land plots on the game that can be bought and sold on the marketplace.
CWAR token
CWAR is a utility Token, used for transactions inside CryoWar’s ecosystem. A total of 1,000,000,000 CWAR tokens will be minted to help facilitate all transactions in-game. And soon, it will also be used for cross-chain trades.
Why Solana
CryoWar was built on the Solana blockchain because it’s fast, secure, and with little to non-existent fees. Solana can perform 50,000 transactions per second, with an extremely low fee of just $0.0001 per transaction.
Final thoughts
And there you have it! Another exciting blockchain game to look out for. It’s not available to the public yet, but its targeted release will be around the first quarter of 2022. They did, however, recently release their closed beta in December of 2021, and based on the footage and gameplays currently available, the game looks promising!
