BombCrypto is a play-to-earn blockchain game heavily inspired by the classic arcade game “Bomberman.” Players can collect bomber heroes categorized into different rarity levels such as common, rare, super rare, epic, and legend.
Since this game is built on the blockchain, all heroes and other items are considered an NFT and can be traded in the game’s marketplace.
The 5 Bomber Heroes
Bomber heroes have 5 power stats: power, bomb range, stamina, speed, number of bombs, and unique quirks. And the higher the rarity level of the bomber hero, the more powerful these 5 power stats will be.
Henricus
A brave and legendary knight who’s fought countless battles, protecting his team with his ironclad armor. Henricus was also the first-ever bomber hero of Bomberland.
Bully Frog
Bully frog is no ordinary frog. His long tongue and ability to jump high gives him an edge, making it easy to take down his foes. Bully frogs have evolved into something capable and worthy of praise as fine warriors.
Richard
Richard is a legendary gunman with great stamina, able to recover his energy quickly. Despite being the only human on the team, his experience and excellent leadership skills made him the captain of the Bomber Hero squad.
Jasper Vampire
Jasper was once an ordinary human subject to multiple experiments, which caused him to change and have vampire features. With his immense power and superhuman agility, he now wreaks havoc together with his squad.
Magic Yaga
Magic Yaga is a witch vested with powers from the ancient book, allowing her to control matter and blow things away with her powers, making her a true powerhouse. Thus, becoming a key member of the Bomber hero team and a force to be reckoned with.
Collecting a Bomber Hero
You can collect bomber heroes in three ways. Either by rescuing one in-game, buying one from the shop, or auctioning in the market.
Rescuing
In Treasure Hunt Mode, there will be rare instances where players come across a prison block, locking a bomber hero. You’ll then have to complete the rescue mission to receive the damaged hero, which needs to be recovered for a while before you can use them in action.
Buying
You can purchase packaged heroes through shops and marketplaces. You can also buy a larger number of heroes by choosing between x5 or x10 packages. And there’s no limit to the number of heroes you can buy.
Auction
Bombcrypto has a peer-to-peer marketplace that connects users, allowing them to buy and sell bomber heroes and other items as NFTs.
As for the in-game currency used for buying and selling NFTs, BCOIN is the sole currency in this market.
Different Game Modes
Treasure Hunt Mode
Players can deploy their bomber heroes to the mining areas where they would plant bombs to destroy blocks in hopes of finding BCOIN. Bomber heroes will work autonomously without needing a player to control them. So players will have plenty of time for themselves.
Each time they plant a bomb, it consumes their energy, and once exhausted, they’ll enter a resting state to recharge their energy. Also, owning a house would significantly speed up their recovery.
Story Mode
Like the classic Bomberman game, players will choose a bomber hero and enter story mode. They’ll then have to destroy all the monsters to progress from each level. There’s also a slight chance to earn BCOIN when destroying blocks and monsters.
This mode also consumes energy, and you won’t be able to deploy your hero without enough of it. Furthermore, getting touched by a monster will reduce your energy, and once it hits zero, you’ll lose the battle.
Battle Mode
Battle mode is a competitive PvP where players will need specific energy to participate and would also need to pay a certain amount of tokens as an entry fee. The winner will take the majority of the BCOIN.
Upgrades
Bomber heroes can be upgraded to unlock their potential and increase their basic stats. Upgrading a hero would require you to have other heroes of the same level. This serves as the burning mechanism of the game against inflation. Note that you’ll also need to spend some BCOIN to perform an upgrade.
Conclusion
Bringing life to some old arcade game that we grew up with is nice and all. But I’m not sure if it would fare better against other competitors. Though the game has many features to offer, it tends to get boring, and the graphics haven’t improved much as well. But this is just my opinion. I could be wrong, and they could blow up. Who knows? We’ll never know for sure. So what’s your opinion about it? Comment below and let us know!
