Thetan Arena is a free-to-play and play-to-earn MOBA game built on the blockchain. And as you’d expect from a MOBA game, it’s pretty addicting. The matches are short, and the game currently offers four game modes that players can choose from.
For each Hero, you can play and earn gTHC (Thetan Gem) tokens from matches up to 14 times per day. So going over the 14th match will no longer reward you with gTHC tokens.
You can cash out the gTHC tokens you’ve earned once you reach Bronze 1 rank, and your account must also be 12 days old. So you have to be dedicated enough to grind and make your way up through the ranks before you can reap your rewards.
Today, we’ll focus on Thetan Arena’s gameplay. So if you want to know more about this game, check our quick overview about it!
Different Heroes to Choose From
Thetan Arena has a bunch of heroes that you can choose from. Each will have a different playstyle, advantages, and disadvantages. You’ll be given a free hero that you can use at the start. You can also work your way up and obtain premium NFT heroes who have their perks and quirks.
Battle Royale
In battle royale mode (either Solo or Duo), you’ll be deployed on the battle arena along with other players. And your primary goal is to survive and be the last one standing.
The strategy here is simple. First and foremost, upon the start of the match, find as many gift boxes as you can to level up and unlock your Hero’s unique skills. And look for special buffs that’ll give you an advantage over the others, such as additional HP (Health Points), damage increase, speed increase, etc.
Try to avoid bombs scattered around on the arena and other stuff that has weakening effects on your character. And don’t engage with other players yet. You must avoid any unnecessary combat as much as you can unless you know for sure that you’ll win.
Remember, the goal here is not to kill as many as you can, but if you’re strong enough and already ahead in terms of strength and level, then why not. The battle arena will decrease in size over time, so you’ll eventually clash with someone.
Only the strong and well-fed ones will be left near the end, so you can’t slack off either. Strategize on how to increase your survival chances. Avoid any danger as you grind and prepare your character for any upcoming combat.
If it so happens that you get defeated early, or perhaps, find yourself in the 4th place, 5th place, and so on, you’d still receive certain rewards according to your rank during the match.
Tower Mode
In this mode, you’ll be teamed up with three other players against the enemy for a 4 vs 4 match-ups. The goal here is to defend your tower, all the while trying to destroy the enemy’s tower. So whoever gets to destroy either team’s tower will win the match.
For your team to destroy the enemy’s tower and win, you’ll have to disable the enemy’s tower barrier by summoning the giant robot from your base. You’ll just have to fight over the possession of the battery used to charge your mech. And once fully-charge, the robot will march towards the enemy’s base.
The other team could destroy the robot before it can reach their tower, so your team needs to defend and support it as well.
Deathmatch Mode
The mechanics here are simple. Deathmatch is also a 4 vs. 4 battle where you fight alongside your team as both opposing teams try to kill each other to gain points. The first team to reach 25 points within 3 minutes and 30 seconds from the start of the match will win.
And If the time runs out, and neither of the players couldn’t get to 25 points, then whichever team has the most points shall be declared victorious.
Superstar Mode
Superstar is another 4 vs 4 mode, only this time, you and your team will compete against the opposing enemy to collect as many stars. And the first team to collect a total of 50 stars shall win the match.
Conclusion
MOBA game matches typically last for at least 20 to 30 minutes per match, up to an hour, which is agonizing, especially if you’re stuck with a lousy teammate. But with Thetan Arena, its fast-paced competitive nature keeps the players active and engaged. And you won’t be stuck for long on a losing team if you have a terrible game.
