Sky Mavis, the creators, have confirmed that the first Alpha of Axie Infinity Origin, the new, revamped, and upgraded version of the original Axie Infinity, will be released to the public in March this year. But the claims suggest that the Alpha will only be used for testing purposes, and any items or rewards obtained by the players while playing it will not be included in the game’s final release.
News and Renders
Axie Infinity Origin will provide a fresh gameplay experience; however, some SLP burning and cost control features are now available in the v2 launcher, which players are fighting on.
Addons like runes and amulets will also be a part of the release. Axies will gain a passive skillset from runes, and in the meantime, the amulets will improve their existing abilities. Those will be generated off-chain with moon shards, the newly introduced in-game currency.
For many people in countries such as the Philippines, earning SLP tokens has become a source of income. Third-party organizations, such as Yield Guild Games, are developing products and groups to foster true play for financial gain. Willing to loan out Axies in the context of scholarships has become a common practice for creating revenue for Axie owners while also offering play-to-earn chances for anyone who cannot afford an Axie team on their own.
It has never been a small platform with over 2.9 million users. Players are eagerly waiting for what Sky Mavis has in store for upgrades and new additions.
About Axie Infinity Origin
Axie Infinity Origin is a very fun action game that includes monster battles and breeding these creatures. The original version was previously present on the Ethereum network, was shifted to the Ronin sidechain in 2021, and launched a staking system for their AXS governance token. Players in the game use three Axie NFTs to battle opponents and enemies in Adventure mode (PvE) and the Arena (PvP). Smooth Love Potions (SLP) and AXS, Axie Infinity’s governance token, are among the Arena rewards that a player can receive.
SLP is the resource that players can use to create new Axies, also known as breeding. Furthermore, parent Axies can only have a limited number of offspring to produce.
