Chainmonsters, one of the most desired gaming projects on the Flow blockchain, has announced the release of its beta phase 2 on April 26, 2022, at 8PM CET. While the debut will be in English, the presentation will be available in various additional languages shortly after!
What is Chainmonsters?
Chainmonsters is a blockchain-based massively multiplayer online role-playing game (MMORPG). Chainmonsters began on the Ethereum blockchain before being migrated to the Flow blockchain. The usage of non-fungible tokens (NFTs), which have a lot of power, supports the game’s play-to-earn paradigm. Players can utilize this function to earn cryptocurrency while buying, selling, and trading in-game assets on the Chainmonsters marketplace.
The game is set on the fictitious planet of Ancora, which is separated into eight islands, each with its personality, twists, and systems. Players take on the role of a new N-Corp recruit entrusted with performing research and identifying the chainmons that coexist with humans in the fictitious world of Ancora. Players who have gained the right to do so can train, breed, battle, or buy and sell Chainmons captured in the game.
End of Phase 1
Phase 1 will end on April 15, 2022, and all game progress will be saved, including leveled-up Chainmons, cash, and resources. In preparation for Phase 2 and subsequent improvements, game servers are being turned off. Everyone interested in playing Chainmonsters will be able to sign up for a free account and begin exploring Phase 2 of the beta game shortly after that.
Working of Beta Phase 2
The second phase of the Chainmonsters beta will involve several activities to test various areas of the platform and gameplay, such as the Battle System Rework, Friend/Group System, Open World, Character Creator, and Gear/Equipment. In this way, beta testers will get an opportunity to try out all aspects of the game, focusing on fighting systems, character creator tools, and social interaction features.
Access to Beta Phase 2
Everyone who has a (free) gaming account will have access and will be able to participate in the stress testing of the system. This marks a significant shift in Chainmonsters’ operations and the start of the game’s last phase. One of the key reasons for opening up the second phase to all players, according to the official Phase 2 announcement, is to stress test the game’s build.
Changes for Closed Beta Pass Holders
The Closed Beta pass holders will continue to have access to various tests and activities throughout the year. Besides this, they also get Early Access to the release version a week before it goes live, allowing them to play the game before anybody else in its final form.
Rewards for Participating
Gamers will receive participation awards in Phase 2 of the beta and have more access to the platform. While the incentive system’s specifics are yet to be published, the Chainmonsters team has stated that the more players participate in the test, the greater the benefits.
Platforms on which beta phase 2 will be available?
Phase 2 will be released simultaneously on iOS, Android, PC, and Mac! The game will be available on all popular devices, including iOS and Android, which is impressive. According to the official plan, work on the mobile version has already begun.
Future Ahead
Chainmonsters is one of the most thoroughly tested blockchain gaming initiatives available. The game’s initial closed alpha began in March 2021, and interest in it has steadily grown since then. One of the key reasons for more than a year of closed testing is to ensure that the end product is of the highest possible quality.
