Hong Kong-based game software company and venture startup company Animoca Brands Corporation Limited has announced that they have partnered with Brinc, a leading Global Venture accelerator firm, to launch the Guild Accelerator Programme. This partnership aims to build and grow globally the play-to-earn (P2E) guild ecosystem. To support this, they are investing capital of US$ 30 million over the next two years. This Guild Ecosystem will enable millions of people around the globe to get income by participating in P2E gaming mechanisms via crypto gaming guilds.
Guild Accelerator Programme (GAP)
The Guild Accelerator Programme (GAP) will operate as a dedicated track within Launchpad Luna. Guilds can apply for the program online till February 27, 2022. The first cohort of GAP is scheduled to start in May 2022. According to Animoca Brands, the GAP will optimize each guild’s performance and help scale growth. To achieve this, GAP will create management and operational systems, share knowledge from world-class mentors, and help raise funds beyond the startup phase. Headed by Richard Robinson, entrepreneur-in-residence at Animoca, the program will fund up to US$ 500000 per guild.
The Guild Accelerator Programme is just one of Animoca Brands’ current projects. They have partnered with Binance and recently launched a USD 200 million for Game-fi; following the same path, Bondly, a subsidiary of Animoca, is developing the Metaprints metaverse.
The year 2021 saw a rapid growth of blockchain-based P2E games and games like Axie Infinity and gaming guilds such as YCG and Avocado Guild. The common factor in these was Animoca Brands backed them as an early investor.
Statistica and DFC Intelligence show that Asia is the largest and fastest-growing P2E gaming market. It accounts for 45% of the global market. Animoca Brands believes crypto gaming to be the most expansive entertainment industry, with 3.2 Billion gamers globally. These GAP types of programs will further boost the gaming market in the coming years.
